Angry Bad Trader Warning Roy Gorris Usa

This is a warning to all model collectors ,
beware the named trader roy gorris ( roy.g usa ) an aim.com customer ! also uses the name modelairplaneguy on his paypal address.
bought 3 display models from him and whilst under offer i got a reply the next day but once the money had gone into his paypal account . nothing , no models no replies and his paypal account emptied.
beware of this trader , i have also heard of other reports where he has bought things from ebay and reported to paypal he never recieved them to get his money back only to advertise that model himself on ebay a few weeks later a real professional con man who knows how to cheat the system .

You can ask your Visa/Master Card company to charge back the whole payment.

just looked on ebay to try and find out more and he is trading with the email address,s on at least 2 different accounts as well as the closed one of orionair.
these 2 are still alive but ebay will not give me his user name
gorrisroy@aim.com
gorrisroy@aol.com
he also uses modelairplaneguy@earthlink.net for the paypal but it is not bringing up any ebay users name on this one i guess its just used for dumping the con-money into then straight out

since this thread is about bad traders; let me add one for my own. I did a transaction on Wings900 with a character named Jalpal. He stated that the reason that he could not mail me my planes was due to a knee injury. Yet he had no problem cashing my money order (cashed on April 4th- I know since I had it traced) or hand delivering an order to another buyer several weeks later. It has been over 4 monthes since the transaction was initiated and I have not received my merchandise or a refund.

Default SCAMMER! Has burned me several times and tried to burn my friends!

Many of you know me on eBay as bluesky_models (formerly pacmin_shop).

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. He has sent me checks and put a stop payment on them, has claimed to have models that he doesn't have - only to not reply once the payment is sent to him, takes unannounced trips "overseas" and "will get back to you in 3 months"... such crap!

He has tried to scam me for well over $3000 in total, and he has tried to obtain many of my very rare PacMin models. He is a complete scam artist, and I have saved him from dealing with a couple of my close friends and model collectors, and I hope everyone reading this takes this warning seriously. My history with him goes back 5 or more years. He is a complete scam artist, and it took me several dealings to figure that out.

I've even been on the phone with this loser's wife and bank! Even Paypal couldn't get the money back - despite me winning the dispute.

BEWARE, thanks very much for this post.

I have seen him under these names and email addresses (though I'm sure there are hundreds more):

Orionair (lately on eBay)
ModelAirplaneGuy (this is his most common)
roy@aviation-desktopmodels.com (his "company")
modelairplaneguy@hotmail.com
orionair@gmail.com (most recent contact with me)

Exclamation Roy Gorris' Information

The last information I have on this guy is his address and phone number. I have spoken to his wife in the past about his actions - mostly empty promises come back from him. Not sure if she is in on it all, or what. Roy claims he is in the Army and is deployed overseas all the time. Now he claims he is out of town until September 14, 2006 in an auto-reply message I got from one of his email addresses. In the hopes that it helps you get ahold of him, here is his information:

Personal Information Removed as the dispute is settled

I thought this would help. Here is all the email addresses I have on this scam artist:

roygorris1969@yahoo.com
Executive Aviation Display Models
gorrisroy@aim.com
gorrisroy@aol.com
roy@aviation-desktopmodels.com
modelairplaneguy@earthlink.net
modelairplaneguy@hotmail.com

This guy is horrible, please stay away from him! Recently, he tried to sell a bunch of fake items on eBay as mentioned by others and he uses a lot of the big sites for selling models to try and multiply his scams.

That's all I know - except for the fact that he has taken a LOT of money from a lot of people, including me. I have had a lot of people contact me - including 2 of my best collecting pals, asking me if his offers are good because they sound like great models at a great price. I have saved 2 people from sending him money, and that makes me happy. He seems to have a continually growing list of fake models for sale that he periodically sends out to collectors.

Grrrrrrr! If you have had bad dealings with him, I suggest calling his home number above or writing to his address. Call, call, call is all I can say. I had to call his bank twice and his wife on one bad deal to even get a response out of them.

If he is in the military, contact his base / unit commander.

Believe me, they will deal harshly with this guy...at least they used to when I was in for stuff like this...they will make sure you get your money, even if they have to garnish his wages.

Angry Contacting the Base

Thanks for the suggestion, I am actually working on that right now. He is supposedly stationed in Ft. Riley, KS and finding the CO of the base should not be difficult.

I will contact the base and will hopefully be able to at least have the process of dealing with all this fraudulent business started.

Hopefully I can help get people their money back (including myself) and any models back that have been sent to him.

He will pay, that is for sure.

Exclamation Update

No word yet from the base, though I do have an inquiry started.

So you know, I got a reply last night from him from his "orionair@gmail.com" email address. He is there, and so I would suggest writing him again on that address.

No info on the models yet, but I just wanted to see if I could get a reply out of him, and I did from my "anonymous" email address. So he is there, and probably ignoring everyone who he has dealt with, but GLADLY accepting inquiries from new people that he can scam.

Let me know if you get a reply as well. I will update with any info I find out from this loser.

Exclamation Fixing the Problem

Kev,

Please email Roy at orionair@gmail.com. He is back and wants to make this right. I got in contact with him on this email address, told him what is going on and he would like your email address so he can sort out what happened.

That's all I know for now. Hope this helps.

Exclamation Refund Received

FYI - I received a payment today from him to settle the issue I had with him. We came to an agreement over email and he sent the money to me to cover the amount he owed.

I hope everyone who has had issues gets the same result. Perhaps he is trying to make this right.

Thank you Roy for finally making it right with me. Please do so with all the people who feel like I did.
