Guys,
I'm looking to buy one of the Fomaer metal McDonnell F-4 Phantom II models in USAF markings, complete with the original stand, and clear canopy with pilot figures. If you have one that is "excess" to your collection and available for sale, drop me a note along with any photos. All the best, Dale Messimer rtepak6@aol.com |

The Fomaer Phantom is a fantastic model. There are two castings existing, the polished USAF, which is around 1/65, and a painted, newer one of German Luftwaffe, which is little larger (1/54).
The USAF is quite common in the US. Have a little patience, and you will find it. Unfortunately I have only one of each above and none for sale. Greetings Chris |

rtepak6, You are looking for a very nice model, I have 4 of them in various markings, and no, none are for sale, however I have just found recently a person that has a line on the last remainig FOM models left over from the factory after it closed. He is selling these in original boxes with paperwork to go along with. They range in price from 600-750.00 usd plus 10.00 shipping on each. I know this is very expencive but these are the last of the factory originals. I bought one, the F-86 in Golden Knights scheme. You can go to my web site and see the pics www.FromAviationToArt.com . If you think you would be interested (or anyone else for that matter) send me a e-mail asking for the FOM list...now the list I have is for the remaining planes only and the best that can happen is to ask if the planes are still available, it may take a few days to find out from Italy and then it would be a few weeks to order but if there is just one or two you want, it may be worth the money.

Hi Chris,
Great to hear from you and thanks for the kind words of support. Currently, I have the Fomaer F-100 Super Sabre and F-84F in my collection and just missed out on a nice example of the F-4 a few weeks back. They are kind'a hard to find with the original canopy in place. Did have the opportunity to search the web the past few nights and came acoss a couple of nice examples in other collections, but noticed that Formaer sure took a bit of "licensing" when it came to their own interpretation of how certain aircraft appear. However, the hunt continues .... Dale rtepak6@aol.com |

Hi Folks,
there is already an older post existing, which shows an F-84F Thunderflash from Fomaer in scale 1/72 as well as the newer casting of the F-4 Phantom II Luftwaffe. This Phantom is a good example of this "licensing" mentioned by Dale.... http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...ad.php?t=46587 Dale, I conveyed your wish of the USAF F-4 Phantom II to a friend of mine, who may have one for excess. Mayyyybe you get a mail from him, but please do not rely so much... |
