Default My Display Cabinet

This is a display cabinet that I had custom made for me by a family woodworking shop in the Georgia Mountains. When it is full it will hold 250-300 1/400 scale models.

Thanks for noticing Cartman in the picture. I had my TV on in the room and decided not to take another shot.

The family who built the display cabinet is at Simpsonwoodworks.com. (I helped them put up their web site in exchange for a discount on the cabinet) They are very nice people, but have a big backlog for orders for furniture of all types and can take 4-6 months to complete something.

The hanging display on their web site was another cabinet they built for me several years ago for my 1/500 planes.

Take a look at the web site and give them a call. They do great work. Please e-mail me if you want more details or have any questions.

Thanks,

Nice woodwork. Is this cabinet attached to the wall behind it or does it stand on the floor? It looks like it's on the wall but hard to tell. Thanks.

The cabinet is attached to the wall with a single slat that is screwed into the wall studs. The cabinet is then lowered onto the slat to allow it to sit flat to the wall.
