I don't really think you need jetway's for them because in real life they do not use them.

I don't remember jetways for props and I fly a lot. I don't use jetways at my diorama allthough at aairports like O'Hare and DFW Ameican is using regular jetwas for the EMB's. You can lower the airstairs by drilling out the hole in with a smalll drill bit and replace the wheels. See Airline Museum article.

When i was at TLH you would walk down the jetway and they would have stairs connected to the end of the jetway where it hooked up to the plane and instead you would walk down the stairs and onto the tarmac and board the plane that way. I always thought it never made too much sense for such a small plane to have stairs but I guess some airlines still do it I guess.

Default ORD I have seen American Eagle's ATR-72 with jetway!

I have no idea as to work them into 1:500 since I don't have any! Just wanted to give info on actual planes. Over at Midland-Odessa the SF-340B of American Eagle I boarded was from a jet gangway!

no- you buy a commuter walkway or make one.

But they have airstairs doors which means they only really need a clear place to land.

Here is the second pic of a commuter gate area. A 737-400 or smaller are able to park on these stands. Generally I put the props there on my personal airport but I have put some F-100s to show that the area is well spaced out for many combinations of aircraft. his is a picture from SET #1 in 500 scale.

Another pic from SET #1 these two parking stands are used mostly for overnight parking but may be used for passengers as well with the use of a bus delivering people from the terminal to the plane due to the distance these two stands are from the terminal.

Actually I've noticed that AA likes to use jetways for its commuter planes. If you go to their remote commuter terminal at LAX or even at Hobby airport HOU you'll note that they do use jetways for their ATR 72's and SAAB's. Don't know why but maybe it's just for security. AA was building a new remote commuter terminal at DFW but I haven't checked out the boarding arrangement. Used to be planes were parked in stand-alone spaces and you took a bus to them. The new system has just the bus from the main terminal to the remote commuter terminal at both LAX and DFW. You might take a Herpa jetway and break it off at the originating end so that you can get the jetway to bend down. If I remember right the wheel portion of the gangway does allow some upward and downward movement.

The remote terminal is mostly for the ERJs they have little jetways. They still use busses for commuters

IT is possible to use jetways with commuters in real life, it requires an extintion that folds down and goes inside the plane.
