Lightbulb Building Design and Layouts

Folks-

I have been working for some time on creating both tarmac layouts and buildings for my model airport. I have used Word, 3D Design Shop, and Visio. So far, I have found that Visio works best.

I am trying to find a way to transfer the designs to reality in either Plastructs or something similar.

If any of you have any tips or sample facades for other buildings, I would love to hear/see them. I would be happy to shoot some of my Visio files out to any of you who have and use Visio.

I am assuming that in 1:400, one inch is equal to about 33 feet. Am I right in this calculation?

Steve

Smile Layouts

I took the simple approach..I used Excel (Formating) for my diorama. I built panels for all my passenger terminals and am currently creating some Tarmac markings. I am not familar with the packages you are using. I do think we are on the page..using computer based facades. If you would like a sample e_mail me : GYMEEE@MSN.COM

PS: You can see the results on some pics in the forum (Somerset Int'l Airport)

You can see my terminal's exterior design at my earlier post called "Brian International Airport (BIA)".

I loved what you did. I tried to emulate it and reproduce it using Visio.

If you want to see it let me know and I will send it to you.

Sure, I would love to see it.

If you would like, I don't mind if you copy/print mine and use it.
