Airline Museum website now is offering a Herpa 1/500 scale airport with accessories for its members. Looks pretty good and more modern.
Exclusively for WingsWorld readers and Club members, we’ll now release the Airport Accessories Package with extensive diorama supplies. It was put together especially for designing the airport foil enclosed in the current WingsWorld issues, and contains elements of which some have not yet been available separately. At a special price which saves you about 50% compared to the normal price, you will receive: · 6 jetways · 12 square building elements · 3 square skylight-roofs · 2 x especially assorted accessories with elements from the accessories sets 1 and 2, exclusively printed in a special color. |

what is the price?
I for one dont think that these newer herpa airports are THAT bad. There's definately a lot, and I mean, a lot of room for improvement, but I like the glass jetways better than the gemini ones. Ok, the gemini ones are more detailed, but I just prefer the modern look of the glass ones. I also like how the glass fascade is much bigger. I really wanted gemini's to have a giant glass fascade. However, it is only two windows tall. I'm saying this, but I still believe herpa can do much better with their airport sets. |
