A380 gates

Hey guys,

I just started a 1:400 Airport with an A380 that my friend gave me, i was wondering, do you guys have any tips for making A380 Compatible gates?

Gemini has A-380 gates (jetways), but they are not selling them separate. Maybe you can watch on their site how to built.

I think modify existing gates, a later make your own!

You could buy the Herpa 1:500 accessories kit with 2 single bridges and 2 double bridges and separate the the two double jetways into four single jetways and then mount them on a scratch built building (forming something like the jetway for an A380 at Madrid). This is how I built an A380 jetway for my 1:500 airport; however, I'm not sure how well it will work for a 1:400 airport. Good luck building the jetway however you choose to.

FIRST JET,

I modified all my GJ jetways and have done one for the 380. It's not finished (to add windows) but gives you the idea and it is very easy to do.

I'm just squirrelling around here and there.
Always tinkering with the airport stuff tho.
Glad you like them. Finally got my material to represent the glass sides and I'm happy with the results.

How have you been keeping? and you're right, it has been a while.

I use the 1/500 gates from Herpa with my 1/400 aircraft. I am happy with the result. I like the Herpa gates better than the Gemini 1/400 ones as they are more realistic. Now that Gemini has the new airport coming out, I am probably goig to change my mind as the bridges pictured are much more realistic. I am always trying to find a better way to make my own gates from scratch but keep going back to the Herpa.

That's one heck of a diorama! You can even see the GSEs and cargo containers below the 'clear' tarmac. Does anyone knows the scale for this diorama?

if you mean the link to the DXB airport pics and model. It's not the coffee, you are right as the link is there as posted by TexAV8R.
Not sure about the 25 gates, but that may be in the text explaining the airport works.
You can relax, it's not a reaction to caffine.
