Henrik,

Your expansion beyond the basic Eztoys layout is a real study. You took the rather undefined matts and gave them a sense of completeness.

This is a fantastic model airport. I wish Torslanda was like this in the old days. The real airport was very tiny and small. I flew from there several times as a kid (flew Loftleidir DC-6B and CL-44 to Iceland).

Keep up the good work!!

Btw, how long time have you been collecting and how much time is spent on finalizing this wonderful airport of yours?

Hello Glider,
It is a Boeing 737-600. This model is the old (an ugly) generation of herpa wings collection 1:500. I don’t like the toy landing gears on these models. That’s why I tried to hide the nose gear in a pushback tractor.

Hej Eirikur,

I have been a collector for almost three years now. The airport project has been going on since the start. I don’t know how much time I spent around the airport table, but not that many hours.

From the beginning it was a summer airport, but when the model was more or less completed, I decided to start up something new. Why not make it a winter airport. I our country there is no problem to find the inspiration for that.

From where do your normally buy your models?

I have not found any dealer in Sweden yet so I buy normally from Aviation Center in Berlin or in Hong Kong that I pass through quite frequently.

Your project is lovely, i really enjoy looking at Your pics.
The winterfeeling is almost touchable.

The sas 737 can be modified with new gear. I did so, because the SAS 737 is one ot the most representative airliners at my scandinavian airport, and I wanted it to look more realistic.

I use to buy my models from Berlin as well. I know there is a dealer in Luleå, northern Sweden called "Tåg & Hobby", but there main buisness are model railroad.

In the mail, I explained that I wanted to modify some of my planes, and listed the types and numbers.

Some weeks later I received an envelope fraom Herpa containing the gears, free of charge!
