Overview picture of my winterairport diorama

Hallo,
Here comes the first picture of my winter airport. I will post some more close up pictures later on. The airport is named “Torslanda Flygplats”. Torslanda was the main airport in Gothenburg 1923 until 1977 when it became to small for the city. The model airport does not look anything like what the real airport looked like. I just borrowed the name because I live in the aria. Nowadays there is a big shopping centre where the airport used to be and the control tower is a restaurant with a wonderful view. Thank you fo all nice comments,
I´ve understand that you want too see it all i detail. I will take some more photos this weekend and post them in the beginning of next week.

This is both a domestic and international airport with a cargo and hangar aria. Next to the hangar there is a firestation and a fuel aria. You can access the airport by car, bus and train. I also added a skytrain between the check-in terminal and the B, C and D terminal.

A = Cargo (4 parkings)
B = International (4 gates) wide body aircrafts
C = International (5 gates)
D = Domestic (6 gates)
E = International (3 parkings)

There is a bustransfer gate at terminal C that access to parking aria E near the hangar. This is for smaller aircraft.

The groundfoil is from "Eztoyz", but i added the yellow stripes on it. The snow is a mix of glue, paint and a glitterproduct from "Heiki".

How big is your display pls. It looks quite large.

The Diorama is 1meter x 2 meter

Hej Henrik.

I just had to join this forum because of your winterdiorama post and it is made by a Swede!!

I thought I was the only Swede collecting these models. I'm normally on the 400scale hangar forum.

There are some more pictures in another thread at this forum showing the cargo area. Some of the inspiration for the airport layout is from Your airport as amatter of fact. I will post some more pictures further on.

That is an amazing airport! How long did it take you to construct it? I can't wait to see your pictures and totally agree with other person who wanted you to translate your website into english!

Hello Carpenma,
Thanks. I´ve had been working on the airport project for almost three years. Most time was spent during the wintertime when it gets cold and dark outside. There are more pictures to see in other threads on this forum. Cargo area and Terminal D. I will post more pictures further on. I´ve also stated up my summer airport project in scale 1:1000.
