Default anyone ever mix/match w/ airport/railroad

has anyone ever mixed and match things in their airports with railroad scales? im thinking about picking up some N scale (1:160?) cars made by atlas railroad company and sticking them in my 1:200 airport. i wonder if it would look funny because just eyeing it (went to a hobby shop today and looked and imagined them against my 1:200 people), it doesnt seem that it will be all that bad.

check out what atlas offers. herpa doesnt even offer anything close in the 1:200 scale

It dosn't sound bad either. There is very little difference between the two scales, but not enough to possibly cause any issues, it would be like having a 1:450 airliner in a 1:500 or 1:400 scale display.

How much space do you need for this kind of diorama??? I think it's quite impossible to make a good diorama without A LOT of space. The idea sounds good but...

my diorama is just the dioramas shown in my other thread here. i just want a few cars on my ramp thats all.
but i disagree, good dioramas dont necessarily come with size. i suppose more people are just intrigued by large non detailed orientated airports (koodles to those who make theirs detailed) than just well done detailed sectionals.

i did check out z scale but the offerings for it are few and far between not to mention pricier.

i looked at n scale cars, and it seems as if they were already pushing the limit in terms of fitting my herpa 1:200 people in there (did it in my imagination). i wont know true comparison until i get a herpa 1:200 f-22. then i can pit that against my n scale railroad that my dad bought for me eons ago.

im not sure how you can help. i would like a couple of things to complete my display. namely a missile carrying flat car, some ground support vehicles (police, ambulances, fire, etc), and a military boxcar. not to mention a warehouse and some crates such as what woodland scenics offers.
