ok fine
got some free time today so...

white parts in grass are areas where i have to specially curve the velvet mat, so i havent done those parts yet. added some doors, arrivals deck, and that "glass" awning.

if i didnt mention it yet, on the far right of the picture, that empty circle and the surrounding grass will be a park. the park will have a herpa 1:200 twa connie on static display! and some trees, bushes, flower gardens, and benches around it.

planning to add the building's roof superstructure tonight if i feel like it. still trying to design and plot it out

printer printed out different color tones of gray...no idea why. im not too picky though about this particular problem so oh well.

that's cool how much the whole set cost? (evergreen hangar, LWT international, and the airbase) because i want to make a big airport and want an idea of what it costs.

uh...its really hard to judge how much it costs. a 40x60 piece of foam core board costs about $6. most of my stuff is made with foam core. some stuff is styrene which costs about roughly $1 a sq inch.

the evergreen hangar display i estimate around $20 (w/LEDs)
the entire terminal display maybe around $50 (w/LEDs)
the airforce display is probably $100+ since its made more of not-found materials
these prices of course not including the countless hours spent sitting there and making them =). good luck!

That's definitely true. The cost is nothing compared to the time and effort one spends on the planning and building his/her diorama. Not to mention, even after it is completed, one may spend more time 'upgrading' or 'renovating' it later.

ok done with the roof. took me forever and a day and many outtakes to set the curve of the roof...cant wait to reflect some led colors off that curve!

check in counters are on the list! at least the ones you see outside.
they sit on that foil with the park and im not touching that foil until i get more space so they will come, just not anytime soon.

no i never touched architecture in my life. except for drafting, but that was more of interior design.
my stuff is no where near architecture quality!

once in awhile i take out my entire display to test the LEDs for corrosion and see if they still conduct and light up...and of course i also have a chance to do a little setup. havent post many pics up lately...here ya go, the theme is "EVA Domination."

i know you guys are sick of hello kitty =P. eva a330s dominate the board. first a330 to leave gets the remote stand!
