Default First Draft at Airport

I've got some work to do with roads, buildings, etc. but here's a first draft. In final version, more care will go into eliminating seams. Can't builders build walls that are at right angles? Rrrrrhhhhh. Any thoughts.

Default Scale

It is 1/400. The Saudi is part of a two piece Big Bird Set - one passenger B747 and one freighter B747. Thanks for looking.

Man you have a little bit of everything. UPS and FedEx ops, some BA world tails, some domestic narrowbodies, and then some military aircraft.

Do the stealth bombers have landing gears?

Yep, these are the ones with the gear. I also have a number of freighters but ran out of room. You probably can't see but in the freight area, I also have the Drax freighter from James Bond. Also, you can't see it but in the Mideast Ramp, you can see the El Al facing off the Iran B747SP, Iraqi IL-76 and Air Koryu Tu-154 (i.e., Axis of Evil). Hooters and the other out of commercial service aircraft are located nearbly.

Very impresive, VERY! Nice range of aircraft. Can you make your photo's smaller? Again, great job!

Nice layout! This airport will look great when it's done. Is this set up in your home or office? With all those planes taxiing about, your ground traffic contollers must be out of their minds! This is an accident waiting to happen.

Very impressive...I like your center aisle cut-out "U" terminal layout.
Is that a Hawaiian 767 in the upper left sector of your terminal ramp??

I'm sure your ground controllers head for the nearest "Bar" when their shifts over. Again, totally awesome airport. Thanks for sharing.

Aloha

Good eyesight. Yes, that's one of my Hawaiian aircraft. Great paint scheme. Yep, it gets really jammed up on the taxiways, especially when the military guys are using 18R. Thanks for your comments.

It is really nice build, also with the space in the middle so you can reach everywhere. One question, where can I find those F-16's?. I like them with my presidential airplane. Great job

Don, Where in New Albany are you from? I live in Powell and would like to see your airport in person, where are the fighter planes from? Are they 1/400 as well?

The model airport is in my office near 161 and New Albany road. I will be travelling and tied up for the next week or so but would be happy to have you visit New Albany International Airport. Please send me your contact info.

P.S. The fighters are 1/400 and came as part of a set with other Dragon Wings aircraft. The only catch is they don't have gear. Kind of small to make too.

The blimp is actually 1/350. I think it was made by Model Power.

I agree. What better way to access a large airport. Donjet, you receive the Human Control Tower Award.
