Default Giving this model airport diorama a try, YVR

Not exactly the prettiest diorama around, but it'll take some time until I actually start painting the board, marking the apron and putting details onto the building.
Take a look:

Thats all for the time being.

Nice airport, so whats the scale on this? I espeically like how you got resourceful and used some kind of black paper for the tarmac. I should try this when I improve my model airport sometime.
Thanks for showing us your wonderful piece of work!

Thanks for the complements.
The diorama is in 1/500 scale and its made with a mix of styrene plastic and plexiglass from homedepot.
The black paper is just poster paper from Staples. I cant believe they dont make grey poster paper, but the black works out well as it brings out the colours of the models.
After adding details to the terminal I will most likely expand it as YVR is adding an expansion to accomodate A380's.

BTW, for those who had ordered from Krisshop before, from the time you mailed your order how long does it take for them to process the order? I mailed my order to them 3 weeks ago and still havent heard anything from them. I want to add SIA planes to my airport...

Good luck with your new airport, don't forget to post new pictures of your progress and remember that details are important!
