Default The final touch

Everyone, I'm finishing up my model airport. But for the final touch, I need to make windows. What materials should I use for it? I'm interested of making it tint or reflective mirror affect. What can I do or purchase to create that? If it's something I can purchase off the shelf somewhere, where can I get it? My local hobby stores just carry clear Evergreen plastics.

Thanks in advance.

I purchased a blue-tint styrene from 'Plastruct' to use for the windows in my concourse. They have a wide variety of colors/tints available.

I can't seem to find the product you're telling me about. Any part numbers or some sort you can provide?

On the search/view/order page, type in "mirror sheet" in the catalog description box and select search. This will bring back all of the available tinted color sheets.

I have the catalog, which gives you a diagram of each piece they sell. Very handy when ordering.

I hope this helps!

This may help......just bought it today at a local hobby shop. Found it in the model railroad section. This shows the product and the label with about as much information as you need.

Hi Chrypopr.

There is many ways to make windows and glass. Sometimes when you look around there are also some other materials to use:

1. Transparencies for an overhead projector they a choice because you can use it to print window frames on them as well.
2. I have seen some colored cheap CD covers they are often sold by the bulk.
3. Even in a grocery stores - some item are wrap in materials that can be used as cheap alternative model building materials.

Happy hunting
