Red face making 1:500 scale JFK airport

Hello,

When I get back to New York in July, I plan to start my master project!!
A 1:500 scale airport of JFK.

I wanted some tips on how to make this.
I need to get the terminals, and tarmacs, as well as buildings. Currently I am getting all the airlines I dont have which opperate JFK, I have most of them.

Thank you so much.

You can download taxi plans at that address...

Love spotting at JFK. Off the water is the best for me.
And here is a pic of a terminal. I wanna see that airport when you are done man.

1/500 model of JFK will be huge... sounds like you will need 2 rooms.

Hey, Blue, I also am cxurrently in the process of building a 1;500/1:400 scale model airport of JFK. I already made Runway 13R/31L and parts of Terminal One, terminal 2 and Terminal 3. I will post some pics as time allows. As I live near JFK, I have gone there often to spot and take pics. I have ridden the Airtrain system countless times. Now, I do not have much space so I am not sure how much of JFK I will build. Terminal 4 will not have all the gates represented as I would then have to knock down one of my garage's walls. The new AA terminal probably won't be finished till sometime in 2006 or 2007 so I probably would wait to see what the finished terminal will look like. I had taken many pics of a planned model setup of the new terminal that was set up in the current terminal, but half of that model will now not be built due to AA's downsizing of American Eagle flights. Plus, I have no idea what kind of tarmac markings there will be. The wow factor of my version of JFK will not be so much the terminals as I sort of suck at that part... .... but the roadway and Airtrain systems. I even videotaped the roadways as I drove around to get an accurate picture. But the project will take several years till completion, barring any unforseen events in my life.

Hey,

I plan to make the new Jet Blue, terminal instead of the old one. Maybe by 2006 herpa will have made some Jet Blues, if not it will become a TED terminal.

With the AA terminal, I fly in and out of that terminal a lot, they have a plan outside of the terminal of the new one.

I also used to do a lot of spotting at JFK, but since I moved to Spain I cant.

I would only make the two runways agended to the airport like 31 and 13.
T1,T2,T3(would take a while)T4(maybe a little bit of time)T5(a long time)T6(new one)T7,T8andT9(new)

Does anyone know of places that make terminals for you??
