i use white glue and mix with a little H2O to make it spread. they dry clear.

I use white glue also -- any PVC glue will work -- I don't mix mine with anything. I use a 1" paint brush to spread it on the surface then lay the grass powder on. Once it dries, I use another brush to "sweep off" the excess. And indeed, the white glue will always dry clear.
