I know I said pictures when completed but have run into many obstacles, working them one at a time. Anyhow heres an update. Just painted the ramp and started markings, this may take a while. Still lots to do on the buildings.

It is great work. What scale is it? You wanna sell it to me so I won't have to spend months building that terminal for my JFK project?
Although, yours looks nicer than the current exterior of the real Worldport terminal. I believe the current extorior is along the lines of a burnt brick color. I believe you built yours to resemble what the Worldport looked like when Panam was the tenant.Brian |

The worldport is currently Delta, terminal 3 at JFK. The terminal I am making depicts the Pan Am Worldport circa 1980. Since that time, the brick walls have turned almost black, I assume from soot, the roof has been mostly resurfaced with black tar and the main circular building painted blue. Just about completed the ramp markings, as seen in this photo. Delayed due to lack of jetways, should be arriving soon, I hope.

Radio Flyer-
Looking at pics I took 2 years ago and some really old pics of WorldPort, the exterior is exactly the same except for the jetways being added (i.e. white support columns, glass, white underside of overhanging roof) The only thing I can think of when you say its been painted blue are the stringer supports ON TOP of the roof...in which case, theyve always been light (panam) blue. Also, the exterior of the main gates (added later, rooftop parking and all) have been painted a dark brown since at least 1988 as evidenced by another pic I have....sorry, I dont have a scanner. Anyways, your replica looks phucking awesome, cant wait to see it done, very excited about this one Dylan pic by John F Ciesla

I have carefully examined all my old photos and you are correct, the roof beams appear to have always been blue, the photos I have show white, but a magnifying glass on the shadows shows just a trace of blue, so something else to get done. The bricks are another issue, the photos I have clearly show red/brown brick on the gates and thats with the sun on it. The brick I used is red/brown and matches pretty close to the photos, but it was generated by computer and appears bluish under florecent lighting were I took the photos. I saw a recent photo on airliners .net of a SAA 744 on one of the gates and the whole thing looks black to me. After looking at all the photos I have, you really cant tell for sure.
