Would like to share pictures of Singapore Changi Airport model with fellow collectors. It tries to be similar to the actual airport, but I'm not a professional building model builder, so it's not perfect. Please give me your comments.
Approach to Changi Airport from the East Coast Parkway expressway. The characteristic control towel - a Singaporean icon which is recognized worldwide, is seen upon approaching the airport. Last edited by Singapore Guy; 12-17-2002 at 05:06 AM. |

Impressive! That must have taken you ages.
Though one odd thing I noticed are the trees lining the runway. Otherwise it's a great model.

This airport is great. Top honors for that parkway/bridge- a new "approach" to roadway realism!
(the few that are comparable include AA/Trevor's HYP and Prof. Herpa's FLL). You show several good ideas for inexpensive terminal improvements (especially all the roof skylights). Please post us a straight-on closeup of the first terminal on the left (the Alitalia gates). -Steve

Thanks for all the kind comments. If you guys also like SQ old colour planes, do have a look at last page of the thread "Attention Singapore Collectors" under the 1:500 section.
