I'm nearing completion of a neighbor islands terminal inspired by the terminal on Maui. When this is completed I'll be incorporating the EzToyz mats to complete the airport.

I'm making a 1:500 airport and need assistance on making buildings. What are yours made of? I bought foamcore that I planned to stack on eachother and put evergreen plastic tiles on it. What should I use for the siding? I was going to use GYMEEE's printout but I could also cover it with evergreen plastics. Any help will help. Thanks

The jetways are from Gemini and everthing else is Evergreen Plastics. Everything I build uses their products.

Chris:
Great job on the terminal building! Very detailed GSEs as well. I especially like the individually-colored luggage on the luggage cart. The custom-made Aloha 737 is just like the real thing. Exceptionally clear shots too. BTW what camera did you use for the shots, and what settings did you use? Macro-mode? What kind of lighting did you use? Also, can you post photos of the Maui terminal so that we can compare it to you model? Thanks, Wil |

Hi Wil,
Thanks for your comments. I used a Fuji Film 4700 Fine Pix camera with it in the Macro mode for these pictures. Pictures were taken indoors (I prefer outside) using room lighting and window light. This photo was taken outside. The terminal is not a copy of Maui, but similar in layout. I don't have any photo's at hand, but I'll look for some to post. Aloha, Chris

Chris,
Your terminal looks just like a cross between Kahului (OGG) and Atlanta (ATL) terminals. Will you be making or have a Honolulu (HNL) terminal model already? |

Spectre,
Both Evergreen and Pastruct make items you can use for support poles. Pastruct even has ladders, 1/400 vehicles, brick and stone pattern sheeting, etc. However, the Pastruct is generally expensive. To make windows, I create the pattern I want in Pagemaker, print on Epson Photo Paper, mount to the model and cover with a smoke colored transparent plastic. Hope that helps, Chris
