the right and left consnsole on the DW black hornet are indeed detailed. Thanks for the new pictures G8D7. Even the HUD is transparent which nicer than the black HUD on the HM hornet.

Thanks, i've decided to get the other two raptors too. I told myself on day one that I would buy every F-22 made by HM so I gotta keep up with that. Just not yet . Still only at 27, 29 including my RCAF F-104 and Sharkmouth RF-4E in a few weeks.

Re: My Collection
Your photos are getting much better, and your collection is growing nicely too!
I almost bought that special A-7 to display with the three RAF Gulf War jets that Corgi did, but I resisted the urge somehow.
It does look nice, but I have to draw the line somewhere... if I start collecting Gulf War jets too I'll be (even more) broke in a few months
Thanks for taking the time to post these photos!

Thanks mate
Setting up a white box really helped me focus on what i'm taking a picture of- the model. You guys just haven't seen these jets by themselves, haven't got a new one (well okay I just got one a few weeks ago) for a while. Well from June-September i've gotten 14, that's basically half my collection there so I guess aha, but I really have to limit myself to one or two a month and only get what I "really really" want. Once I get a few Canadian models i'm going to go back to my gulf war scene (have 4 as of now).
Again thanks for the comments. I guess i'll post the rest of the photos I took the other day.

Re: My Collection
I never knew Dragon made a Vandy one. I'm wondering if it's as popular or rare as CW's model. Could well explain how I haven't see one till now.
Pity about the slanted stabiliser on the Starfighter otherwise a nice enough model.

here in holland, dragon models are nowhere to be found....its really a pity as they have some good models....luckilly to find just 1 model from dragon...a P-47 which almost everyone finds one of their great models......

Re: My Collection
Just viewed the collection and the group of photos here. Looks like an interesting one... After my recent F22 purchase, the Sukhoi or the Hornet could be the next fine addition for me!... I don't really know yet though... It feels like I'm really happy with my F22 as well as my F14...

Dang! I really love Sluffs wearing camo-dresses ... but that "Desert Storm" across the wings kills it for me
Stupid CW! So many nice camo-liveries for the A7 still undone that would sell like hot cakes!

Re: My Collection
To my knowledge the real aircraft has the lettering on the wings. It's a post Desert Storm scheme on returning to America. However, I am uncertain if the desert brown colours itself was part of the scheme worn during the conflict.

Same, I love camouflage on aircraft (to a certain extent, and only if it is a 'commemorative' one). It's supposed to have "Desert Storm" (to my knowledge) on the wings, but it does ruin it a bit for me

Yup, CWs looks pretty close to the real thing too.

Yeah, I got this one because it came with crew figures and a tarmac. I believe there are two other "Black Bunny"(s) one from 85, and the other from 90. The 1990's one is harder to find I think. Make no mistake, it's nowhere near as detailed as CW.

Re: My Collection
If you pretend the white sheets are the walls of a hangar then it sort of works as a dio

lol, yeah. Imagination does help. When I take actual 'dio' pics with all the airfield supplies (generator, can't remember the other things aha) should I take them in my photo box like above or should I take them outside of the box and where I am able to see surroundings, whether it's carpet or a coffee table etc?

Thanks for the kind words Mario. I've made everyone wait long enough. One would think you can have a lot more space when comparing Helicopters to fixed wing. I find it hard to save space whilst making them look decently static on the shelves.
Some tweaking (just playing around with it now):

Indeed, quite a selection. People seem to recommend the Witty Super Hornet, however the Dragon models look alright to me.

Re: My Collection
Well, it was 'Hangover Sunday' and to my surprise there was a delivery man at my door. On a Sunday! (Perhaps it's Canada Posts' Holiday hours)
Here is the new batch:
Corgi Whirlwind HAR MK 10 (AA39101) "RAF Search and Rescue No.22 Squadron, 1962"
Hobby Master F-102A Delta Dagger (HA3104) "c/n 08-10-328, 525th FIS 'The Fighting Bulldogs', RAF Wethersfield, England, June 1961"
Hobby Master Harrier GR.Mk.9 (HA2610) "No.1 Squadron, RAF Cottesmore, 2010". "Disbandment" Colors
Hobby Master F/A-18C Hornet (HA3501) Named "MiG-21 Killer". "COR Mike Anderson 'Spock', VFA-81 'Sunliners', CVW-17, USS Saratoga CV-60, Operation Desert Storm, 1991"
F/A-18's
A little "comparing"
All together now
Gulf War
That's it.. for now. Hope you enjoy

Re: My Collection
Thanks for sharing G8D7. Great pics. I love the F-14 VF-154... very impressive bird.
I like your outside pics of the Su-30. Very bright and attractive.
Who made your olive drab Chinook? I've been looking for one with no luck. I thought that would be a popular offering as it is the most common. I'm just not a fan of camo schemes that are "too-busy". I like the common workhorses. And where are the CH-53s? Anyone making them?
Great Hornet comparison.
I'm glad to see you received your items from the FM sale. I'm still waiting on mine. The Sunliners F-18 looks impressive. I'm glad I ordered it. I also got one of the HM Harriers. That was a great deal.
Please keep sharing.

Thanks for the compliment, that was actually the best pictures I got off my phone. I'll have to take new ones in the Spring.
The OD Chinook (US Army) is Corgi. All of my helicopters are made by Corgi, no other companies have caught my eye. I have been liking Unimax but only because no one else makes decent diecast helicopters of the models Unimax makes (some).
As soon as a diecast 1/72nd H-53 comes out, I will jump right on it. Many people are just waiting for someone to make one.

Yes'sir, a great deal at that. I was quite surprised with how small the Whirlwind actually is.
Edit: It took me some time to realize what the "extra" two pieces were in the Delta Dart box.. Darn air brake.

Yeah, i'm thinking of getting the Witty one and setting it right next to my Dragon.
My display is, uh- well, crowded. I even had to move two of my Raptors off to the side!
Really need more space.. somehow
Thanks for the kind comments

This is sort of funny to see. I ordered the F-18, F-102, and Harrier from the sale as well, going to be here tomorrow! Actually picked up two 18's, one for me and one for my dad. These three will be kicking off my collection. Very cool pics, getting me excited!

Very nice, your collection will continue to grow. Hopefully we can see some pictures . I originally wasn't going to get the 'Sunliners' but after seeing Sweptwings pictures (if you haven't seen them yet, you better go look lol) that put me on the fence, the sale at the mule pushed me over- I had to get it

"No Fly Zone" in Libya, 2011
AND

Re: My Collection
Wow !!! Great display. Thanks for the update... it's been a while, but I see why. They all look happy in their new home. Those cabinets look familiar. I think I saw someone else's collection with ones very similar. I like the dark color... it makes most planes stand out, except the Vandys.
I've never seen anyone with a lightbulb for a head. You must get all kinds of ideas.

From display position... I would calculate the AK is his current favorite.
The Hawaii one coming soon will be very popular I think. I have the Langley version, and it will probably be the only one I get since they don't have many differences, and like others have said, thay are rather bland and souless compared to the legacy jets.

Re: My Collection
.....most teen jets like F-15, F-16 F-18 and 22 are usually gray except for the aircraft of the commander or CAG pilots of most squadrons..XO aircrafts at a lesser degree...you can have all colors as long as its gray.....

The Hawaii one coming soon will be very popular I think. I have the Langley version, and it will probably be the only one I get since they don't have many differences, and like others have said, thay are rather bland and souless compared to the legacy jets.

Yeah I also only have the Langley one, as the only difference between the F-22 versions is pretty small, putting the tail code aside, they look pretty much the same...

Re: My Collection
That would be a correct calculation there Scott
I've been looking at the Hawaii pre-pros and I must say, they do like nice. Just not sure if I will get another, they just seem so bland now and I am really loving my F/A-18s and would like to get at least 4 more of them.
The Top Gun model is by Dragon. I think near the bottom of the first page there should be some close ups of it and the model number.
Edit: It is 1:72nd scale

Re: My Collection
A kind of newbie on Military 1:72, so that explains why all the militaries are still sitting outside the cabinet

ackk I thought there was something 'funny looking' about it. Serves me right for not checking on Voodoos site (or any pictures for that matter).
Thanks SKF
Edit: Wait a second. Are you sure you're right? I've got it in the right configuration on Hawk's site.

Re: My Collection
Would like to get one (black F-18 Top Gun) someday. I have one but it is a plastic kit from JWings. It's 1/144 in scale. Too small for me.
