Default Squadron Wings 1/48 BAe Hawk - 1st Photos Pre-Production 208 Sqn Hawk RAF Valley, UK

A big hello to everyone on DAC.

I'm delighted to be able to tell you all that the first pre-production photos of our new 1/48 scale BAe Hawk T1A are now available on our website.

This first model is in the all black scheme of 208 Squadron, RAF Valley in the UK.

Please note that as this is a pre-production example we still need to finish off the internal cockpit and ejection seat painting which are presently in primer in order to better view the instrumentation detail.

Photos and more information on the products page at www.squadronwings.com

Thank you for your post. Will you at some point make a 1/48 F-16?

Good Luck with your venture sir

Whilst I am interested in collecting RAF planes, currently I'm only collecting 1/72. Perhaps later I'll delve into 1/48

All the best.

its a nice model....but it would have been better if was in 1/72 scale which is the most popular scale around....and saves space for display....thanks for posting and good info too

In answer to some of the questions raised so far :-

We will be specialising in 1/48 scale models, however we do not intend to re-create aircraft that have already been made by other manufacturers past or present unless there is a very good case to do so.

Variants on the Hawk have already been researched along with numerous other jet and props subjects over the last four years - we do however need to sell the three RAF Hawk versions shown on our website at Welcome To Squadron Wings before moving onto our next projects.

Please keep the questions coming - thank you for a very warm welcome on the forum.

I does look very good, I don't collect 1/48th but one or more of these might make it to the Sqn office, any thoughts on a Tucano to go with it ?

the Red Arrow scheme looks cool....my question is....will this new product ever be for export too...?.....in the netherlands perhaps?...Will you be only producing exclusive British aircrafts?

It's a good question mar ji. A follow up will be how many models to produce - 100, 1000, 1500 ie how limited will the models be?
