I agree. Of course it would be Die-Cast metal. Do you even own any Gemini200's ced ampo? I think not.

I will take that bet, you are completely Wrong. This is a serious diecast model, no plastic anywhere.

Is it possible to include a gear-up configuration? The C-17 is beautiful flying.

I will! But I hear it will be released in July or so, and if that's the case I hope the Pre-Orders don't go up for about another month or so, since I just bought models and I have to control myself and give my money some time to breathe!

I was trying to figure out how long this was going to be. So I went to the 400 scale database and took a look at the figures. It looks like it will be about as long as the 777. If thats right at least in the length, its going to be huge and heavy. Hope its a couple of months down the road. Money and my honey(wife) need a breather from these metal clumps.

Very very nice! Nice nose! I hope the price stays below triple digits...

Now if they can put forth this sort of effort on the 1/400 version!

If the price is kept reasonable, I would be in for a few C-17's. Key on list would be Qatar, RAAF, Canadian Forces and several US Units.

I have held a pre pro here in the UK of this model and i can assure you it is one seriously heavy piece of(non plastic) metal diecast.

I'm pretty sure that they said the Gemini200 777 weighed 4 lbs. If the C-17 is a big as the 777, it would be around there.

I've held a very early sample in January and am told it is six pounds. After having it in my hands I can tell you that I don't disagree.

So if its a July announcement, then it will be released in late July/Early August?

I'm sure it will sell quick, but in keeping with the latest pricing by GJ, this beast will probably be $200...lol Don't get me wrong, if the price is something manageable then I will most likely get it.

I took those photos at the Hong Kong Toy Fair last January..I lugged that model across the border into HKG from China in my hand carry luggage..it was heavy..
the rear ramp door opens and closes and was plastic, Im quite sure that has been changed out by now...no gear up option as asked above

Was the C-17 not being announced in June for a July release? No military rleases at all for Gemini in July unless they are running late.

She's a beauty but damn why won't it have gears-up configuration? It seems like an easy task to do and it would make the model look hell of a lot better IMHO.

Remember GJ 1/200 stands are not good enough to hold a model of this weight. They barely hold the 777. I am sure this weighs more than that. They really need to redo their stands, even just so that you can get more display room in the cabinet with some on the wheels and some in the air.

We posted the model to our site...As always FREE Shipping.

Because of the popularity and VERY limited production run, we are asking you to PLEASE, PLEASE pre-order this weekend...or at the VERY least, e-mail us to let us know you want to buy one from us. We need to get an accurate count within the next day or so that we can order enough models before its too late.
Order Here: GeminiMacs Boeing C-17A 1/200 Scale Charleston AFB

Only $79.95 with free domestic shipping.

Thanks,
Jim
