Default My tiny collection

Hi guys, I want to share some pics of my collection. I usually visit but I don't comment too much and I really enjoy watching your collections. I have been collecting since 2014 and so far I have accumulated around 70 models. I'm a fan of Russian fighters so most of my collection will be covered by Russian fighters. Also, you will see some fighters from Viet Nam war and from the JASDF.
Let me start the show :-)!
Su-33 Sukhoi from Gaincorp.
/
Su-27B2 and Su-33 both from Gaincorp.

Su-30MK2 this one is kit from Trumpeter.

Su-27UB from Witty Wings.

Su-27, another one from Witty Wings.

PAK FA T-50, from Air Force 1(AF1). I really don't like model from AF1 because I got both the T-50 and Su-35 and they are both not good enough as I expected but for Russian fighters you don't have many choice to choose.

Yes, Su-35 from AF1.

Another model from Gaincorp, the Su-34.

Su-30KN from Witty Wings.

and finally, the Su-30MK.

Some F-15Js from Witty Wings.

That was some pics of my collection, I hope I can take more pics to show everyone but sadly I'm studying abroad now so I don't have any chances to do :-(.

Nice collection! Love the Su-34 - it's one of my favourite aircraft. And yeah I agree on the T-50; the colour, in particular, is way off. Hopefully HM will start doing some of the more modern Russian birds in the not too distant.

Welcome to the forum, Flankerknight.

Is there something wrong with my Firefox as I can´t see any pics?

I don't think it's Firefox.....I use Firefox and can see other pictures in other threads just fine.

All I see are small icon question marks where the pictures should be.

It may be the service used by Flankerknight for picture upload/download linking.

The mere fact that I was able to use my service Photobucket to upload and then download a jpg and post what I see in his post...for me there is nothing wrong with my service to post my own pics in this thread.

I suspect the technical problem is on his end.

Welcome Flankerknight.

Can you give some of us a sanity check....and look at you Flicker service? Some of us can not see the pictures you posted. Perhaps a technical glitch

Hopefully you'll get a DAC message notice to see this post.

Hopefully you don't mind but I edited your picture links IMG to the URL that shows the pictures individually. I'm not sure why your IMG tag doesn't work. Just click on the links above.

Good job, BB.

Hopefully Flankerknight don't mind but I´ve found this great photo of SU-30s squadron on FK´s Flickr:

Seems that Flankerknight was lucky to get Herpa SU-30MKK Pavel Osipovich Sukhoi without too heavy overspraying. Otherwise all pieces that I´ve seen were oversprayed - quite a bad job from Herpa.

btw, the display cabinet in the rear does not speak for "tiny" collection at all.

Probably because of Flickr or I was doing something wrong during the process :-( I will switch the web photo next time. I'm sorry if you can't see these images.

Oh yes, for sure those flankers are from my brother, and that was the second Flanker from Herpa because the first one was broken during the shipping process and he had to send back the model to get a new one.

Yes, and I can't wait for the MiG-25 to release. I really expect it will be a really good model after the MiG-23 but hopefully with a standard option weapon.

For sure, I still keep my eyes on those new Flankers from JC and Herpa but I don't feel sure if I am going to buy any from Herpa because the price and the quality are not equal. Beside those Flankers, I have started with Viet Nam's war collection also Japan Air Self-Defence Force(JASDF) collection.

i was just gonna ask you about the herpa quality myself. it doesn't look too bad from a distance... but for its price, i am still on the fence. mebbe if i do have the chance to view one in the flesh....

Oh, thanks for info.
For some time I was rather confused since the models and display cabinets at the back were the same as in Quangvietvn thread, so I wasn´t sure who is who. But now its clear.

I´m Flanker fan too, hoping in soon release of this VPAF scheme :

I would be dead keen on both that VPAF MK2 and an RMAF MKM

flankers to the fore!!! that vpaf is sweet... but the mkm, that requires canard mods. no idea whether jcw will bother. no harm hoping, though

Yeah, that's the issue - all the configurations have so many differences..

I really hope they do a canard variant though.

Actually, before they go up with the series of Su-30MKI/MKM/SM, I wish both Herpa and JC could make a new mould of the Su-27 because the nose of the Su-27 is still incorrect and I was expected before they release the Su-27 Ukrainian Air Force , they could fix that but they still kept the same as the mould of Witty Wings.

Usually, when they release any Flankers, I would buy it without any hesitances, but for the one came from Herpa, I was considered really hard as you said because of the price.
I was asking quangvietnguyen to give me permission to upload some photos of the Su-30MK. Hopefully, it can help you a little bit to decide because of those photos are good enough.

P.s: I don't know why I can't see the images which I'm uploading, is there anyone can help me with this, please?

yeah... no improvements whatsoever. i don't have the fulcrums. are the mlg door struts still fiddly or have they addressed that? the only improvement i've seen by jcw thus far is the one-piece mlg on the rsaf black knights.

thanks, mate! i've not seen one in the flesh so more pics will definitely help the cause. i do like the scheme... but the finish (qc) at that price is my biggest concerns with regard to that release.

Your concern is correct - Herpa did all upper surfaces oversprayed and I´m afraid that its on the whole production:

Try uploading to imgur.com, and using the links to the images it provides via the website or app (on iOS or Android).

You need an account, but it's very easy and lightweight

As in my earlier post. this is a must for JCW's or Herpa in both liveries. May be just as popular as the Indonesian release imo.

yes, i'd get this in a flash... unless it suffers from excessive overspray. i dunno... the tni-au flanker was out on the shelves for a pretty long time (until monsieur shinohara bought them all )
