Another Jolly Rogers. Good for fleet building, bad for variety.

Ha ha, I had noticed that too..

Still, credit where credit's due.

Jumblies were just the first to announce this time round, so I'm giving them credit..

At this point I would like to point out I personally have never even bought any models from them (given they are in the UK and P&P is a killer); they just got the news out first, as Fortunate Son alerted us all to.

Hi, newbie here.

I don't know whether to wait for the Hobby Master or Century Wings of this as I think Dominic is right- they both have the same release here.

depends on whether u prefer flaps down and magnetic gears (and possibly skewed skull/mirror misprint) vs possible high gloss and slightly inaccurate (side steps) detailing?

CW JR F14 AJ200 is the one with the flaps down & the one with the messed up skull & bones on the right tail.

CW JR F14 AJ202 is the normal version.

Lets hope CW corrects the error on this releases. Lets hope also HM get it right!

I am particularly interested in this JR AJ202. I believe this EXACT bird is sitting at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Since I am going to be there & seeing it "in the flesh", this is a must have model for me either from CW or HM, whichever is more appealing / right.

oh yeah... my bad. it does however mean that 586437 is not truly limited, and there's an extended 600 production run in the form of CW001621?

Actually bad time to start, you could've bought them for half the price a couple of years ago.
The good times when HMs Phantoms were less than 30€ and CWs F-14s cost less than 70.

Well, I'm planning to be fairly minimal and sparing in what I buy. I don't need more than one F-14... and really, price inflation applies to everything these days.

if one is all you need, then there's really nothing to worry. a big IF, though

Not quite, but I started out buying just the one model (A Franklin Mint 1/48 Huey)..

I did start wanting just one Tomcat; in that regard I have come full circle as I currently am planning to sell most, if not all, of my CW F-14s and just keep the VF-1 Wolfpack first cruise releases.

Aaand maybe one or two others
