Hi Istari nice to meet ya; now that is a a nice surprise for me, so how do I contact Mr. Barratt? the one I flew on was the white one.

I have the silver MATS scheme 1/200 C-141A from Skyline, which I like very much.

Not my photo, but this is it:

If you can find one I would 100% recommend this model.

This one looks beautiful, but as I mentioned before I would love to find the white one, wich is the one I personally flew on...it looks like it is out of stock for good.

I have the same silver model pictured, I also have the C141 'white top' model, and as you say, it's no longer produced (I think mine is at least 10 years old). Derek Barratt only makes the C141A (silver) model, and I think he has also stopped making them too, I believe I had one of/the last one.

Here is the Skyline C141:

The silver one is probably my favourite 1/200 - this style of manufacturing produces beautiful models, with such impressive heft to them and fine, crisp detailing.

I'm glad I found mine, but it was a real fluke and there are no more where mine came from and I haven't seen any others.

If I for the opportunity to pick up another scheme I would without thinking twice. The white one pictured looks great too.

I also had the grey one, but sold that as I really didn't have the space for 3..

The grey one seems to still be available at ARD. The other two are not available but you might ask. Pricey though.

Worth noting that not everything you can order from ARD is necessarily in stock - quite often with these limited run whitemetal models they will list it if it is available to be manufactured, but not actually immediately available and what happens when you order a copy is your name goes on the pre-order list.

Once enough orders have been placed for a given model a run will then be produced. The wait period can, therefore, be indefinite; however, they don't keep a deposit from you and the model will eventually be produced at some point down the line.

This can be the case even when the "Add to Cart" option is available, not just pre-order. The only way to know for certain whether the model is available immediately is to either call, email or visit the shop.

Also that is a Sky Classics model, whereas those pictured in the thread are Skyline models, so different manus although the manufacturing style is the same.

Skyline/Skyclassics are pretty much interchangeable. The only real difference usually is skyline often have a high gloss finish, and the newer Sky-Classics are satin. They are the same mould, same factory, same models (some have been updated a little, new decals etc.)

I just picked up a 1/200 C-141A in MAC white over grey to go with my MATS silver scheme version from ARD, who also have a silver A model and a few B/C models in MAC grey/white and lizard schemes in stock as of about six hours ago.

I will post pics soon.

Some pics of the new MAC C-141A:

Bonus MATS silver scheme (on shelf with other 1/200s, 1/144 visible below):

FWIW, my cabs are currently in the midst of the big unboxing, hence their looking somewhat sparse right now, and they are not necessarily arranged in their final form..

My pleasure

I must say I am very happy with it, nice companion for the silver MATS scheme and it will look good next to my C-5A in the same colours (when I get around to unboxing it).
