Default HM Hurricanes...How good are they?

Looking for advice, impressions, feedback from members who have one of HM’s Hurricanes in their collection. How is the fit and finish? How are the colours? Are the colours identical to HM’s latest BoB Spitfire trio?

I like the two that I got. Think HM went a bit silly making a ton of similarish green/brown ones that then subsequently tanked. am waiting on a sea hurri and other interesting stuff. will gladly sell off my corgis when that happens.

I have Josef Frantisek's Hurricane and I can report its general shape and fit & finish are pretty good. Prop spinner is securely attached, although the shape might be a bit bulbous, landing gear attaches securely and looks decent although it doesn't seem to have the forward rake of the real thing. Mine is nicely painted with no errors and good tampo prints.

I have William Dunn's Spitfire and the olive and brown colors are identical between those two. Underside paint is different - the Spitfire is creamier, whiter, and the Hurricane is greener. Don't know if that's intentional or a mistake.

Hope that helps.

Thanks! That is the kind of info I’m looking as I’m hoping they’ll match the Spitfires in HM’s BoB trio. Looking at images on the web, the green and brown camo colours look different between the Hurricane and Dunn’s Spitfire (the brown looks a bit more orange and the green a bit lighter and less olive on Dunn’s).
But again, colours often look inaccurate on the web whereas you are able to compare both “in person”.

Pssst Robert . . . yours shown are Corgi 1/72. I think the original poster was inquiring about HM (HobbyMaster) which are 1/48.

Nice shot, though!!

I don't have any, but all of them are inaccurate so far in as much as the moulding is for MK II, but being marketed as MK I. If they release a Mk II using the same mould, that will be more accurate. If you still want one regardless, go for one of the 3 most recent releases, as they have optional position rear canopies- the ones before that only have detachable rear canopies that you can't display in a slid back position.

Thanks for the info. Yes, a sliding canopy is important as I’m planning on displaying gear down with open canopy. But one of my concern is that the colours on the three latest ones look somewhat paler compared to the first two releases.
