Hogan Wings C-130H Hercules Blue Angels "Fat Albert" HA7082
This one just landed from the FlyingMule, the long awaited C-130 Blue Angels "Fat Albert" in 1:200 scale. I've seen this large bird perform several times at airshows and it always amazes me how far these pilots push the limits of this plane. Therefore this was a must-have for me.
It's quite a heavy model for its size, it's exactly the same as Herpa's C-130 (the online difference is an optional ramp on Herpa's model, but they don't have a display stand like Hogan's).
Hogan just announced they will make a 6-pack set of the F/A-18 Blue Angels (HG7594) - with that coming down the pipeline, I'm pretty sure this C-130 would become hard to find since most collectors would like to pair those two together into one full set.
Anyway, no complaints on my end for this model, it's very beautiful - I highly recommend it.
Boxart:
I recommend buying the Blue Angel's patch to present it alongside the model:

beautiful pics....wish that it could be done in 1/72.....HM has already decided to make F-18 Blue Angels and the possibility of collecting the whole team....for its October release

Nice model. I have just picked up mine yesterday.
I was expecting that the model comes with a replica or tampo printing of JATO rocket bottles. I know that Fat Albert stopped the JATO performance back couple years ago, and seems that the model resemble the current days condition of the real Fat Albert.
I was lucky enough to have a chance to see the JATO performance when I lived in US.

Sweet, thnks for the links Super. I've been thinking of collecting patches as hobby aswell. What about the stand holding the patch? I've noticed you have a couple of those.
