Alright...I'm sure there have been wishlist posts before but I would really like to share what I would like to see created by the likes of Century Wings or Hobby Master if I were in charge for a while. I know for some of these models already exist but not one I would necessarily buy
.F-5 Tiger II or an F-20 Tigershark - These planes have always had a purposeful simplicity about them that I've admired. A simple grey and maybe the Vietnam era camo so I can put it next to a Phantom. MiG-31B/31M Foxhound - Big and powerful. A simple grey and the demonstration color used by the export demo unit. The Saab family - Draken, Viggen, and Gripen. Love the Swede aircraft design and you can truly feel that each is a descendent of the one before it. Rafale C - Elegant utility if I dare say. Need the all black livery to place next to the Corgi Typhoon. Su-35 Super Flanker - Canard foreplanes and ridiculous maneuverability with and its capabilities as a multi-role craft. Lots of great liveries to choose from. I know Witty makes an Su-27 and that's good by itself but damn it...I want my birds to be displayed in flight. F-1 - Super simple strike plane with tons of good color choices. IAI Kfir - I'm a huge sucker for canards. The Kfir looks gorgeous in the typical green/tan/brown IAF color scheme. Any current F-15's and 16's in the IAF camo would definitely happen as well (yes, again, Witty...landing gear) Taiwanese IDF - Take an F-5 and an F-16. Get them drunk. Then you have the IDF. The engine cowlings worked into the fuselage look so unique. I'd really like to hear from some other folks what they'd like to see and heck, don't forget helicopters like the Hind, Havoc, Hokum and my personal favorite Russian bomber, the big bad Bear. |

A 1/72 scale SR-71 done in the detailing you would see with CW or even as the Franklin mint had done in the past. That aircraft was so unique and incredible it deserves to be made in a quality piece by some manufacturer out there.
I agree an F-5 or T-38 Talon would be pretty nice. Speaking of trainers, I wish someone out there would do a really nice high quality Cessna 172. Many a pilot learned the basics in that aircraft including myself. I would love to see one made that I could display without it looking like a cheap toy on my desk. I would like to see some of the Rutan designs as well, a beautiful diecast of those would be great to display on a shelf.

Let's try and put some life into this thread eh?
Glad you agree on the F-5 and as for the Cessna that is funny that for such an iconic plane there really aren't super high quality models. As for Mr. Rutan it would be interesting, at least for me to see a Voyager, VariViggen, and Grizzly. |

What about a diecast Century Wings Tweet? I think there would be enough Air Force pilots alone who flew the plane to justify the model. Not to mention the AT-37 Dragonfly as well! Thats something that I would really look forward to in either a Hobby Master or Century Wings edition.

Mirage F1...good choice. Not to big on the earlier Dassault products but if not a III the larger IV bomber I could deal with. Here's two scans from a book of mine to share...love the Viggen's deco...

Hey Guys,
All the SAAB jets are a good choice. I am a little surprised at the lack of US century aircraft in Diecast. I know that there is a lot of F104 Starfighters out there but I think the F 105 Thunderchief would look amazing, particularly in Vietnam livery in 66-67. The F101 Voodoo would look good to. Of course being Australian and all I would love to see an F111. Particularly as it is still in RAAF service. Finally how about the B47 and B58. Cheers |

If I see another Starfighter diecast I might choke someone. Yes I understand that everyone and their mother used them back in the day but it's like the spread option offense in football...trendy but not really effective against quality opposition. The Voodoo has a good shape and I might be able to handle a Delta Dart but the Century series planes have never really done much for me. I might be able to stomach a B-58 Hustler...it's kinda like a Dart or Dagger...just bigger

I like what you guys have thought of so far. But....
No one would want a Tweet? It's a staple of American aviation for over 50 years and its going away very soon. I think it deserves its rightful place in diecast heaven just like all those Saabs and other models you guys have mentioned! Jeff

Been thinking and since we have a Mirage from Hobby Master it only makes sense to see a Super Etendard. Would need it in both French standard livery and the Argentine naval colors w/ that oh so cool "ARMADA" on the side.

If I 've learned one thing in 35 years of sales. Dealers are more often wrong than buyers. I want a TWEET!

Alright...with Century putting out a new Corsair color scheme and me thinking about a Greek Corsair livery and then looking up pictures of Hellenic Air Force birds...I have come to a realization. I want a Block 50/52 HAF F-16 as well as an Israeli one. Gotta have the CFT's on them as well.
