I am not a fan of social media really but i lately subscribed to twitter to follow some people in the world of politics, sports and media...i dont like facebook at all its not my thing, anyway just wondering is anybody else here use twitter ? also interested in your views on social media !

Facebook is not my thing either. It's the bar, club or pub for my social media. The wife is addicted to Facebook though and that farming game. Well, I suppose Facebook does have a use. Some of her 300+ friends are from other parts of the world. From that angle it's good for connecting people

I don't use Face Book -- I leave that to my teenage nieces and nephew, but I'm on LinkedIn for my business and can't be bothered with that 140 character universe called 'Twiitter' which rhymes with 'fritter'. Call me old school, but I prefer places like this.

I used FB for a while, but too many weirdos started wanting to be my "friend", and some people from my past whom I couldn't have cared less about showed up...so no more FB.

Facebook to keep up to date with people I actually know.. And use Tumblr to correspond with like minded aviation enthusiasts! Ohh and of course, here and Model airplane collectors

I use FB. The only downfall is when certain family members try and friend me. You can call me cold, a jerk, whatever but there are some "family" members that I just couldn't care less about. I tried deleting one of them in the past but like a complete psycho, she noticed almost instantly and I ended up having to add her back.
She's my wife's, cousin's wife...it don't get any closer than that.

Thats why i avoid fb its only hassle i think and it causes alot of problems too for people especially family

No Facebook for me, thank you. I can keep in touch with people I wish to communicate with via e-mail and via forums like DAC.
