Default Seattle Airport Spotting Location???

Hey, I will be spending some time in Seattle in a couple of months and would like to spend some time photographing airliners. Can anyone tell me if there's a good plane spotting location there and what the variety of airliners is. Thanks! Mark

Wow! No response yet! How about a hotel at the airport that's good for airliner photography?

Eh, I didnt really have time to spot AT the airport the last time I visited but if you visit the Boeing Museum you can see a pretty good amount of arrivals into SEA and the occasional 787 depart from BFI.

Hope this helps!

There's a little city park (Chow Park, Goergetown) just north of BFI overlooking 31R. Lots of Corporate Gulfstreams, new 737's, 747-Fs and 787-8's departing for and returning from production and certification flight testing flights. A new 3-7 in "elephant hide" and 707 Gray is kinda of a cool sighting.

Better yet, you can visit the Boeing Co, Store ( open to the public) on East Marginal Way just north of the MOF at the Boeing Flight Test Center, Commerical delivery Center, which is directly under the approach path to SEA

Perfect spot for when the Blue Angels visit during the first weekend in August. I used to walk past this park several times a week during my lunch break when I worked at a local FAA building at BFI.

Thanks for the info. Wow! I didn't know the Blue Angels were going to be there. I think we come back into port on the 30th and leave on August 6th. We'll miss them by a couple of days.

The only good places for spotting at Sea-Tac left at either in the terminal or on the ramp, I myself preferred the ramp
