Default Something to be thankful for...

Our big day (me and my girlfriend hosting our first thanksgiving in our new house) was interrupted when I got a call to go to work today. For about 30 seconds I was pretty pissed off. But thinking about it, I was GRATEFUL I was called to work. Some poor family in Long Beach, CA lost a loved one this morning and had to make the hard decision to pull him off of life support.

We flew the team of doctors down that were to harvest the heart of the accident victim, and we were to transport it back to SLC and into somebody who had been waiting too long for that heart.

In the end, the heart was determined to be "No Good"....whatever that means. We flew back to SLC empty handed and with a weird, deflated feeling. Folks, there is MUCH to be thankful of today.......whatever petty problems we have in our lives PALE in comparison to what two seperate families had to go through today....

Nobody's more upset about it than me Michael, and no more 4-person Orange bath/hot tub, and no more mirror'd vertical blinds. But if you're ever in SLC and get too tanked to drive, we have a spare bedroom!
