Default Before CG sketching....I used pencil...

and old pencil comp of a favorite seventies GT 2+2; the Lotus Elite. This was done, I believe sometime in the early nineties. Still want one.

Holy moly ... you should have gone into automotive design, or industrial design for sure ... you have a brilliant talent there ... perhaps architecture as well?

Thanks for sharing all that Herb ... fabulous artwork you've done ... I remember that Bertone concept car from the mid-80s or so ... I actually thought about studying automotive (transportation) design at the Art Center in Pasadena back in the late 80s but due to my financial situation at the time, decided against it.

Thanks for your kind words. I knew there was at least one other person here interested in cars.See what you come up with the cars. I find doing it for art's sake works best. It's never too late to go after something you're passionate about!

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but was googling for Lotus Elite photos and hit on this! Does anyone know if a 1/18 model is available. Corgi did a couple of versions in 1/43 but they're quite crude. Any help getting my hands on a quality scale model would be appreciated.
