Our TV's
Well now that Digital TV is out and in full force (in a way) What kind of TV do you have?
As for me my personal tv in my media room (my planes, posters, xbox360, ps3, computer room, my room of zen etc) I have a 40 inch Sony Bravia KDL40W3000. Now retails for 1299 (2499 when it first came out May 07) I got it for 950 in October, it was the very last one and they needed to make room for the 08 models, so they slashed the price 35%.
I prefer the 07 Sony's rather than 08's. The 09's are a little better than 08's. Sony's best LCD HDTV's came out in 07 that is EXCLUDING the 09 XBR's. My friend has been looking for a 40 inch tv for his "media room" upgrading from his 32 inch. I helped him search for one and he pulled the trigger on Monday with a Toshiba for 699. Not a bad tv at all, pretty good considering. Compared to my Sony tho my picture is a lot more vivid and colors look better and the iage itself is sharper on mine.

Re: Our TV's
We have analog TVs ranging from 19 to 27 inches in four of our rooms, all serviced by cable service.
A Sony 62 inch projection TV graces the living room and is digital but with the analog 3:4 aspect screen. It is serviced by digital cable service. We have had this set for over 8 years and, since most programming is still coming to us in the 3:4 ratio, we have no plans for replacing it at this time.
I have no desire to acquire high-definition as I frankly see little improvement in picture quality.

LOVE my Samsung 46" LCD.
Seeing programs in HD is nothing short of awesome. Even the goofy 'Survivor' show is worth watching in HD (for the scenery), not to mention Deadliest Catch and other stuff on Discovery and Animal Planet.

Re: Our TV's
Sweet Nick, Samsung LCD are very very good, I was gonna get a Samsung but opted on the Sony. In the house we have 2 720P 32" Sony LCD's, a 32" 720P Samsung LCD, and a 1080P 52" Samsung. I separate rooms. Out of al of them, however I prefer my Sony 40" 1080P.

Re: Our TV's
I've always liked Sony and I've been looking at the '09 entry level KDL-40V5100. Sony has increased the rate of this LCD to 120Hz and I'm actually looking to December for their 240Hz models. Why all the fuss about the hertz rating? I like my viewing as smooth as a woman's tush.

Re: Our TV's
Love my sharp aquos 42 lcd got it a few years back, at the time it had the fastest ms. response time of all lcds (6ms). Debated for months between a lcd & plasma, but very happy with my choice as it seems more and more manufacturers are leaving plasma screens behind. Also have a 24" & 32" viewsonic lcds from office depot, my wife gets great discounts from them but i wouldnt recommend these to anyone.
Nice postcard btw steve...

Re: Our TV's
I love my Samsung 32 inch 720p (almost all 720p TV's actually have a resolution of 1360x768) LCD HDTV! I hook my laptop up to it with a VGA cable many times to watch HD videos from YouTube. It's a great TV with 3 HDMI ports!

Re: Our TV's
For price/quality, Samsung cant be beat. There are cheaper at Costco but they dont finance! I used to have a 56" Toshiba DLP and that was pretty good too, but I let the ex keep it. Good thing, as my current living room isnt deep enough for a 56". Funny thing is that some people buy TVs that are too big for how close their seating area is from it.
