Default Australian and British POW's Rescued

I stumbled across these videos of Australian and British POW's rescued by a US Navy submarine during WWII. These POW's were being transported from Changi Prison in Singapore to Japan in one of the Japanese Navy's infamous 'Hell Ships'.

Warning: they are quite disturbing.

People always forget this part of WW2. In my opinion, the Japanese were much worse/brutal than the Nazis.

It wasn't only the treatment of POW's, but the treatment of civilians. The Japanese conquest of China through to Indonesia gave rise to countless atrocities; as did the Nazi's invasion of Europe.

Unfortunately, all sides, both right and wrong, have committed shocking, monstrous atrocities against civilian and soldier alike.
