Exclamation Malware Warning on DAC

Hi all,

I am receiving warnings from my computer about malware from a planetsmilies.net ? And not to use DAC that its possible that from the mentioned website has been cited by google for malware n hacking...just wondering has anyone else had these warnings from their computer? This is the first time this has come up as a warning for me, the protection softwear i use actually took me away from dac, i had to do a few procedures to get back in.

Wink Re: Malware Warning on DAC

I'm using Firefox for Mac with all the hyper-paranoid stuff activated and I get no messages of the sort.

I'd be inclined to ignore the DA.C warning as Google gets a little carried away some times too. Now planetsmilies.net . . . well that is another matter. SERIOUSLY flagged as bad news.

Same here. Would not surprise me one bit if 'planetsmilies' had some malware issues.

It has nothing to do with your browser, it has to do with what type of virus/internet safety program you are using. Some are more proactive than others when it comes to malware and the such.

It isn't often that my Trend Micro program tells me to stay the hell away from a website, but it went berserk when it noticed planetsmilies here.

Shortly after I updated the model database with some price info, my computer was infected with a trojan virus. I don't know if this was coincidence or not, but be careful, and hopefully the admins are being vigilant.

So this must mean planetsmilies is infected and distributing malware unknowingly? Hope they get it sorted, it's been a great repository for years.

Google now has a warning for planetsmilies.net "This site may harm your computer". Planet smilies is now planet frownies.
