Default Maybe a General Aviation Section?

I just got an idea, I know there are several of us on here that are pilots, or are wanting to be pilots with a private license, and probably a few here who like General Aviation A/C as well as Military and Commercial. I was thinking..like the Commercial and Military Aviation sections, how about a General Aviation section? If it needs a moderator, I'll gladly do that and keep it up as well, but I just thought there needed to be a better place to talk about small/personal aircraft than the General Squawk Talk section. Anyone interested?

I don't know the interest in GA, but there has to be a few that want to be/are pilots who fly them. I know I am going to be posting when I start my flight training for my license. I put up a poll to see how many are interested, maybe having it as a sub-section to the commercial aviation section. Like I said, I'd be happy to moderate it if needed. The poll is running for 10 days.

Wink Re: Maybe a General Aviation Section?

Doesn't the '1:1 Commercial Aviation' section cover that already? That said, perhaps a sub-section to that?

OT: Why is there no '1:200 Military' section? There seems to be a growing interest in that scale. Perhaps just a re-name of the current to something like: 'Military - 1:200, 1:48, 1:72, etc' might work. Just a thought.

Probably depends on how many want to discuss military planes. The DAC seems to be more about commercial aircraft. Guess that's why the military section is the way it is.

I hear that. No doubt DA.C is overwhelmingly about commercial aviation, but there is cross-over (not I) and those who post their latest 1:200 military model piccies (or queries) in the 'general' 1:200 section. The point is, they'd be better served by those with a closer shared interest in the Military section.

Yeah, the more I think about it, perhaps it is just a section title change.

'Military - 1:200, 1:48, 1:72, etc'

I think that too, upkeep. And yes, I stated in my post for it to be a sub section to the commercial. I'd like to see more talked about here rather than all commercial and SOME military/GA.
