Exclamation Finally!, A bizjet/airliner series on TV.

After an unending parade of junk on television covering the average the life of big hair, over cosmetically implanted wives of everyone doing everything with everyone, from sons and daughters of sisters and brothers with buckteeth running moonshine, to drug addicts on crack hosting teenage pregnancy crack parties in swamps, civil aviation finally, has been brought to the little screen in our homes.

The new show is as the title states. The life of a Aircraft Repo person and how they get back bank owned bizjets and airliners. Can't wait to see this after a complete lack of any series covering just the civil market.

Date and times for the new show:

Title: Airplane Repo
Starts tmrw, 2/11, Saturday evening. Set up your Tivos!

I have seen this already. It is quit the boring show. I saw one where he repossessed two a319 or 320 's. The planes breaking down was the exciting part of the show. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some may think its the best show on TV.

Thanks Gabe. I was hoping to see close ups exterior and interiors of some Lears, Grummans, etc. The trailer shows a Lear 35 so thought it was mostly the smaller biz planes repo. Anyway will check it out anyway. The only other thing that's been on is "A day in the life of American Airlines" thats been on for two years running, oh..and yes the A380 story...which is also a multiple repeat.

Sounds cool, even if it's not amazing, how many serious aviation shows are on TV aside from Mayday or ACI ?? That's right none...well flightpath but it's boring.

You will see some interior shots. Also when they say what plane they are getting, the show pops up info about the plane. But yes its mostly Lears and smaller stuff

What kills me is that when you see a show about, say, the 707; the story has to start at the beginning of flight from DaVinci and everything onward. After 56 minutes of back history, you finally get the footage that the title intended which abruptly ends as titles and credits run over it.

I see 2 episodes scheduled to air that were originally aired in 2010. Looks like the shortest series in TV history, but with my trusty DVR it should only take about about 90 minutes to see the whole thing.

Is this a US-based show? How come they're only breaking down Airbuses?

Just kidding ... the opportunity presented itself perfectly ...

On the show tonight were some of my favorite bizplanes. Gulfstream 200, Lear 31, Hawker 600, and Raytheon Premier 1. It was a welcome breath of fresh air from the usual line up of history shows. The repo-man lives in style. From his Bentley to the Challenger and Hawker. He's accrued some nice toys.

Our man did repo an A320 for the UAE. There are some interesting looks inside the engine nacelles showing how much damage sand can wreak on high tech fan blades and cowls. Ahem...no offense, but can we drop Airbus jokes every time the subject is mentioned? It's been a real tired joke for a lonnnnng tiiiime. If folks need to ditch Airbus, just start a new thread and go nuts on it there.

All in all, not a bad show. I got the close ups and interiors that was on my "hope to see" list.

This program is on discovery channel in the netherlands for probably a month now.
I saw the episode when those airbus a320's were moved to the united states. First they flew the planes to the azores if I'm right, there they got there new us registrations and from there they were flown to the states.
They were kinda of in a hurry because of eurocontrol.
As you said, they are mainly reposessing small jets, but it's still a cool program to watch
