Here's a novel thought: Don't visit this site anymore. Then you don't have to worry about deleting any account.

If you're talking about a bank account you can transfer all the funds to me and move on. If you're referring to this site, do what Steve said.

But, Steve you have to understand that these people have no common sense. Just like a lady who is giving me a good laugh freaking out about her spam email box. Really who cares what is in your spam box.

Never said I was smarter than anyone. But common sense applied to this situation would tell you the answer to your question.

No, common sense tells you that you don't need to delete your account if you are leaving DAC. If you're changing your account, just abandon the old one and start a new one, or talk to a moderator. People come and go from this site all the time, none ask how to delete their account...they just leave. Nobody else can use your account unless you give them access.

Haz Baz, you will quickly learn that many people on this forum are very hostile towards new members.

I used to let it get to me, but trust me it's not worth trying to reason with those select few.

Personally I see nothing wrong with someone wanting to delete their account.

But I see you have changed your mind so welcome to DAC !!!

Y'know, I read this every now and then and wonder why some of you have this impression. The only people that are shown real hostility are those who A: Ask pointless or obviously stupid questions, B: Say pointless or obviously stupid statements, C: Try to stir up trouble spamming or being jerks, or D: Act as though they are someone they're not or as though they know more than they really do. Generally, I've noticed that the great majority of new members or former lurkers are pretty decent, and they are accepted well. But when someone broadcasts they want to delete their account after being a member for a short time, as if they're totally dissatisfied being a member, I have to respond. A little forethought and discretion would have been called for in this instance, simply asking a moderator if you're that unhappy about having an account. BTW, my initial response, though sarcastic, was not hostile. At least I didn't say "Don't let the door hit you on the way out", which was my first thought.

So Steve you were picture perfect when you first joined then? Again, you aren't forced to reply to all threads are you? So I don't see why you have to get so worked up about someone wanting to know something as little as to be able to delete their account. Surely you should help rather than just have a go at me. For example say someone is about to fall off a building and are holding on with one hand and are screaming for help, and then you come along and instead of helping them you just have a go at them for being there in the first place.

Nick has taken peoples DNA before, I believe he made a good amount of money from a sale to the Roslin institute who cloned dolly the sheep.

Some say the great success of cloneing Dolly the sheep was due to its new zealand genes, Which of nicks new zealand customers is Dollys dad?

Has this site ever asked for your credit card info? Just how much personal information did you provide? I just have my name, general location and age. Not much to go on if somebody wanted to use it.

Aaaaahhh, I just love this site. When there is nothing to watch on TV or I am feeling a little wasted I jump on my favorite forum site & read the pointless bickering that makes my life seem so much more worthwhile. Every now & then my sarcasm gets the better of me & I put in my two cents worth, which probably goes un-noticed by most of you, unless, of course, you also have a twisted sense of humour. But then, it is all of us members that make this forum site so entertaining & so great.

I'm too nice (I hope) to really do bitchy well, so I just do irony and slightly awry instead

No I am not 12 years old, are you? Because you act like it, like a childish argumentative so and so with nothing better to do than argue with other members of the forum, just because they are new here. How low can you get.

What does this have to do with logic? It is not a pub quiz or 20 questions, and I am sure my logic is far better than yours.

Coming from you, who has gained 15 friends in the last 5-6 years whereas I have been on here 4 days! And you expect me to make friends with someone I have known for 4 days? Are you one of these people who accepts every friend request on Facebook even if you don't have a clue who they are just to LOOK popular, or adds anyone just to LOOK popular?

Haz Baz, may I offer you a quiet word of advice... ( he says, taking the bewildered and ego-bruised Haz Baz aside)...

Firstly, just drop this thread. Leave it alone. It has been a harsh and embarrasing introduction to DA.C, so it is time to just walk away from this thread because it's not going to get any better if you give this thread any more longevity by continuing to reply.

Secondly, don't take the banter on here too personally. These guys are (mostly) actually very good guys, but there is a tendency to be a bit harsh on newcomers who 'stick their necks out' a bit too much initially and this includes ridiculing guys who ask silly questions. As long as you stick to moderate, considered, relevant discussion, you will be just fine on here.

Thirdly, and finally, you ARE welcome, so please share with us what you collect, what your interest in diecast aircraft is etc...

Aw, Haz Mat, I'm sorry you've gotten your knickers in a twist. I promise to stop responding to your tantrums if you'll stop posting them.
