Re: Seven injured as turbulence hits Qantas A380
Qantas is not having good luck with their A380's. (And yes I know, this was not related to the A380, it was caused by weather.)

Interesting, lots of negative news lately surrounding the A380.

Of course, Qantas isn't in good condition either...both the carrier and the plane seem to be getting a lot of flack lately.

Re: Seven injured as turbulence hits Qantas A380
Not cursed by a witch but cursed with Alan Joyce. It's all been down hill for our National Carrier since someone let him in.
And now cracks in the wings of at least one A380. I'm flying to Los Angeles on a A380 with Qantas - am I worried, maybe a little. Am I still going with Qantas YES!!!.

All I am going to say is Alan Joyce is more than a capable CEO.

Re: Seven injured as turbulence hits Qantas A380
I think that while QANTAS definitely has had more than its fair share of unlucky occurrences the last few years, the only reason that the public are so widely aware of these is because the media has latched on to the 'whats next to befall QANTAS' or 'QANTAS is dangerous' notion because it sells.
The largely uninformed public naturally has a macabre interest in the percieved (unfounded, mostly) perils of flying, and without realising that these things do just happen, it has been skillfully manipulated into a bit of a media "favourite topic".
I know absolutely nothing about the QF management team,so I can't judge or comment, except to add that I was chatting to a QF 744 crew a few months ago and they were certainly very very scathing about the corporate leadership at QF... but that's for a different forum I suspect!
