I came upon a 1966 video by "The Seekers" with their rendition of "California Dreamin'." Couldn't help but enjoy the music and story with their apparent 707 stage. Big seats for an airliner but what the heck. I love Judith Durham.

Parts of the video is definitely not 1966. The windsurfing sail depicted in 0:33 is not the type they used in the 60's.

Unless someone spliced some anachronistic footage into the video, it really is from 1966. Windsurfing has been around since the late '40s, and there were many different styles of sail. BTW, I have a picture of my dad windsurfing in 1964 and the rig looked pretty much like the one in the video.

I don't think the video was made in the 60's. Here is a link to a web site:

Note that as late as the 1987, the sails were still very triangular and made of dacron.
The sail in the video is made of clear monofilm which was commonly used since the late 80's early 90's.
I would love to see a picture of your dad windsurfing in 1964. Maybe the history books will have to be rewritten.

Apart from the scenic views, the footage of The Seekers was made prior to Durham leaving the band in 1968.
