Insurance on models?

Not sure if this topic has ever come up, if so I apologize for a repeat. But I've been collecting a LOT of 1/200 die cast airline models as well as very large scale models 1/100 and up to 1/36 scale airline models. I've been thinking about having all my models insured. My question to you all is: Do any of you out there have your models insured? And if so, what insurance company would you recommend? I figure since I'm spending so much on my hobby, I better have them insured, though a lot of them cannot be replaced, therefore it is making me want to insure them that much more. Will it really be worth it to insure them god forbid if something happens to them? Tell me your thoughts/opinions my fellow DA.C members.

Get a few qoutes from local insurers, back up with photos of each model, obtain specified cover just for the models, your current insurer may offer you an extra cover just for them???? But shop around mate for good competitive prices of course!

just a wise thought here, make SURE you have a SPARE COPY of your list/photos, and give it to someone else not living with you, that way if your place burns down a spare record of your assets is secure at another location!!!! IMPERATIVE i think!
