Default Wrap that rascal!

If NASCAR teams, city buses, and custom motor coaches can be covered in wraps, then why can't the model producers make wraps and cover the models fast and get models to market. I'd love to get that Icelandair 757-200 before it becomes old news. Decals are so 50's!

I think he means the brand signage wraps that can be applied to just about anything.

I wouldn't think it would suit diecast models, it would just look cheap

^ If by "wraps" he means some kind of stick-on markings or decals, then you're right, it definitely wouldn't suit diecast models. The current method of printing works just fine. And I don't see what this has to do with the speed of getting the models to market. I don't think it would shave off any significant amount of time from the manufacturing process.

Yep, the stick on posters, which are pretty much still decals, therefor no improvement and yes, this is not what holds up production.

I'd like to know how long a typical production takes, I bet its not that long and its the freight and customs that are really holding things up

I think he means vinyl wrapping the models, something like in this video or this one. I have tried wrapping 1:400 models, it doesn't work too well as the models are just too small. But anyway, I believe this is the wrong sub-forum.

Yeah I reckon that's what he's talking about

Man if I had the money to get a Lambo, I'd probably pay to get it sprayed rather then vinyled lol (I know they only did it to promote their printing technology )
