Default Did I just see the A380 fly over? 19:00 GMT July 2008

20:15 THREAD CLOSED
I've recieved the answer!

Did I just see the A380 fly over? At 19:00 GMT? 21st July 2008? I was watching the planes land over my house and I think I saw the A380, but not in SIA colours... I htink. Why was it landing here at this time of day? If it was?

Anyone have an answer?

I've filmed it taking off, about 5 (4 at LHR, 1 at Farnborough) times (one 2 of them are on YouTube now) and at the Farnborough airshow too!

I am still puzzled to as why I saw it landing at 7.00pm today. It looked like Qantas livery so maybe they were doing a tour or something but... then I don't know. Emergency Laning from Singapore... If it was Singapore Airlines.

I just don't know whay I saw it. It definetly wasn't an Il-86/96, nor was it a Boeing 747, just flying lower than usual. There's no was it was an AN-124 because the wings were at the bottom of the fuselage.

Somebody help me...

I didn't think about that. I'll check now, but I hope it's useful.

Posted later: It didn't help. It gave flight numbers, but not the aircraft.

Posted by Garyw77 on the thread on W900:

Don't think it's anything earth shuddering - I think you were mistaken as it was probably SIA - They announced that SQ318 / SQ321 will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays , Fridays and Sundays from 16 July 2008 to 30 July 2008 and from 09 August 2008 onwards using an A380.
SQ318 was due in at 19:10 landed 18:54.
Mystery solved?

That helps... problem... erm... mystery solved! Thread closed!

Thanks, that site is quite interesting, and has, even in the short time I've seen it, helped me to learn some more of the airport codes also.

One thing, but I doubt they would do this, is that, they do not include the reg of the plane. Can't be for security can it surely??

There was only ONE A380 landed rapley but the flight is codeshared with Virgin , the codeshare flights can be hidden so the website then shows only the primary operating flight.

Its quite a good website , if you are planning on going somewhere it can help show you which airlines operate to that airport
