There doesn't seem to be a listing for the Eastern L-1011 Demonstrator with Eastern titles in the DAC database.

Steve:
Like you, I couldn't find this plane in any of the databases (are DAC & Wings900 2 different databases .. or really just 1 ??). JX422 .. right ? I have this plane (I think it is a very nice L-1011 ...) and it looks great on my shelf with the other Easterns (although I'm still missing a couple of Eastern L-1011's .. BlueBox I think ..) ... I have become disillusioned with the databases ... but I do have to admit that it would be difficult to keep them up to date, and am grateful (to whom I dunno ?) for the work that has been done ... I have a couple of additional database puzzles too ... Puzzle #1 http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...iew-14987.html It's supposed to be an Eastern DC-9-14 by Jet-X ... I've never seen one .. have you ? I can't even tell if it's white or silver hockey stick livery ? I've tried tracking down the registration # of the plane .. but this puppy seems to have worn both the white and silver livery at one time or another. In my quest to get ALL of the Easterns in 1:400 .. this one has me stumped. Puzzle #2: http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...iew-18852.html It's a Northeast DC-9-31 "N978NE" ... supposedly by Aeroclassics (AC) .. but isn't on AC's database. I seem to remember someone (from Hong Kong maybe ?) selling a Northeast DC-9-3? on eBay before the announcement of the official AC release that had a Northeast DC-9-31 "N970NE" .... I have to guess that it's a knockoff since it isn't on ACs database .. It's one of those .. " .. I knew I should have bought that when I had the chance" ... things that really suck. Any ideas / clues / leads ?? Buddy Last edited by BuddyK; 08-07-2008 at 01:57 PM. |

Interesting. I assume you've seen the thread from last year where there is one of the NE DC-9s on eBay:

Done that. It still only shows three JX releases, not the four that they did. I wish the moderators cared about that, it's been a while since I pointed this out. Usually they jump on stuff like this.
