Model Database Value Question

When I receive a new model, I add it to "My Collcection" & I enter how much I paid for it (in USD) & where I bought it from etc. But I find that many (if not all) don't appear on the graph the next day!. Am I entering the value in the right place? I noticed that there is an "Update Value" box on each model on the db, should I be entering this information here or will it just duplicate the price paid?

Please advise.

First of all, these values are not reflecting the reality... But yo know that...
Second: it will be added, but there is a calculation made, so your value will be calculated as an average price!
