I have built a bunch of plastic model airplanes :mostly AMERICAN
and British War Planes of WW2. I also have built a few German NAZI fighter planes . The decals for these Nazi planes are complete EXCEPT for the NAZI SWASTIKA that normally goes on the tail rudder top area. Most photos of real aircraft show this symbol but the 3 models purchased do not provide it. Does any one know why this is ? Do model makers fear a revival of the THIRD REICH ? If you google "Nazi flags" on your computer you will see many companies selling swastika flags, books and just about everything about NAZI Germany you could want. (That's where I got a small swastika to zerox for my models.) ![]() regards, Ron Ryan85 |

No, the fact is simply that the swastika is BANNED in other countries - including a large number of European countries. Therefore, instead of creating models for both, most manufacturers decided to use the LCD principle and not include them with any model.
Although in the US we tolerate such symbols and allow people to continue to display and incarnate their ideas, they are thoroughly banned in most western European countries. Without making a judgment on the historical or moral justification on this, that is just the way it is - even if it involves models. - n1786b |

Go to Squadron.com and you will find sheets of decals with the swastika in various sizes.
