Default Storage capacity for attachments

Greetings Moderators.

Is there a way that the current 5mb storage for attachments can be expanded?
Like 400SH which there is no limits (I believe), I note that numerous threads which used to have pics are now gone because we have to keep deleting them otherwise we run out of space.
Can this be addressed or is there something about the system which won't permit changes.

thanks,
Tim

I second that appeal - there are a lot of customs I would like to show without sizing down as happens now

Thanks as well

But isn't it a requirement or atleast a demand at everybody.?
If you don't resize, man I'm afraid that would need use alot of "free" storage.

IMHO we need to resize them as we do now. (to avoid to scroll hard right to view the hidden/missing part)
A photo of 364kb in 800pixel is preferred instead of 3450pixels in 4mb file size.
Again just my opinion. But I feel like I shouldn't say anything, cause I was the one who suggested a section for Spotting photos.
And the Spotting doesn't have anything "direct" relation to the models as a whole.

Would be nice to repost a pic in another thread, if it already exists in another.

I have also been "forced" to delete old custom or model photos to free up megabytes for new attachments-
If you guys want it, I can make a guide for photo-embeddings, instead of using the limited attachment feature on DAC.

If you guys need it, I would gladly make one.
Like this example.

Option 1:

1- xs.to - Hosting
2- Browse the photo
3- Accept Terms of Service
4- Upload photo
5- Find the box for
"Forum code for embedding (1)"
6-
Copy and paste at your post.
***
Update: I forgot I already made one for photo hosting.
See Link here :
How to post an image (by using www.xs.to - hosting site)

Option 2:

1- imageShack.com - Imaging Portal
2- Browse the photo
3- Host the photo
4- Find the box for "Hotlink for forums (1)"
5- Copy and paste at your post.

C-Rex I tried linking it from Flickr...but I just got a hyperlink instead...Is there a way to view the pic directly, without having to click on the hyperlink?

I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with flickr as I don't have an account there.
Can you check for me if there's a code that contains a "HTML" cause it's just as good as host-linking.

Yes, We get directed to your page. And it shows big thumbnails and when I click on them, it leads me to a bigger photo.

Thanks Airbus Boy14 I have to reorder the photos, and hopefully upgrade to Pro status so I can get more sets

C-Rex, I was hoping to link the photo directly to DAC, without a hyperlink. Something like Moin, Kai and the others do...The same bigger photo within the thread...I guess Flickr does not have the Forum links like the ones you described.

let me look into this and see what we can do.. we have moved our system from database attachments to flat files, and we now have much more storage space. Don't think this should be an issue.

Upgraded everyone to 15mb each. If you properly size your photos and use compression thats enough to store plenty!
