Default Newbie question about collections

I've looked over the pages about collections, and am probably just missing the info. Can we post photos of the models that we have in a collection? Is that it's purpose? If not, what is it for? Sorry, it's late and I feel dense.

Welcome to the forum, the thing about posting pics of the models that we have is that very few collectors in here have less than 100 models, as you can imagine taking pics and posting pics of an entire collection will take a lot of time so rather than wasting time on that we discuss other things such as: special versions, rare models, custom models, or just about anything that might help or contribute to model collecting, just my 2 cents my friend.

welcome! post as much as you want. posting does take time though !!!

but if you start posting pics and never participate in the forums otherwise in real discussion, people might just start ignoring you for being a person that just "shows-off" instead of actively posting for a real reason.

Sure, you may share your photos with us.

Is that it's purpose?
Well showing what you got in your collection is really interesting.I envy much of people who has a model that I don't have, sometimes I see a model that a collector have, that I didnt know ever existed, thattriggers my interest to get the model into my collection too. So in my opinion, it helps me so much that other collectors shows their collection. I wouldn't say its a show off, just because a collector likes to take photos and share his collection unless you keep your posting numerous photos without "participating" in the discussion forums.

Btw, here's my first question for you, What do you collect ?

Grendel, Welcome to the forums, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here.
Please go ahead and share your photos, and hope to discuss models with you sometimes in the forums.
