One of the most daunting tasks for the avid collector (of ANYTHING, btw) is to have that collection in a display setting. I have seen great ideas on the forum and would like to see more. Heck, I think we all would like that! Nothing is more inspiring than seeing the other guy's collection!
![]() I have a VERY small collection, but have big plans, and would like to get ideas. I am leaning toward a glass display case because I don't have the space for a scale airport. Any suggestions out there? |

I saw Alvaro's collection in the 1/400 scale forum and am very impressed. So, yes..I am thinking a glass case is optimum. Maybe I'll sort out the collection by scale (i.e. top shelf=1/100, middle shelf=1/200 and so on).

If you do a search you'll find even more. I know Crownvic has posted his pics of planes..both in glass displays and on luxury cars

I have a medium closet, it contains about 50-60 models including small quantity of 1:200 scale models on the top. The smaller scale are of 1:400s.
I have a large level at the bottom, where I can show some of my small airport sections, the fleet building in the middle, and my flagship fleet in the eye level, the KLM. ![]() Oh btw, dont mind the fingerprints, I just had my brother's and sister's kids over here * sigh* ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice collection, C-Rex...
I love the Airbus Tanker on the top shelf. I Haven't yet decided to do a flagship fleet yet. I'd probably do Philippine Airlines or Hawaiian. I would definately have a shelf of all military. I really don't have much of a collection, but I'll post some of my goodies in the near future. |

Most of my 1/400 models are displayed in a wall mounted cabinet : takes up less room and is cheaper than the classic ones (well, not the Ikea ones though
). I don't have photos at hand, but I'll post some later.
