Hello - I am brand new to this site. My dad passed away recently. He was the Chief Transpot pilot for Republic Aviation in the 60's-70's. I have an all aluminum F-105 model (Verkuyl I think) and a 100 Missions model (Topping). I am trying to value them or speak to interested collectors. Appreciate any help in getting started.

Welcome to the site and I offer my condolences on the loss of your father.
I am sorry that I cannot offer any guidance on the value of the two models that you mention but they do sound interesting and no doubt of some value to a fan of the F105, especially coming from such an esteemed previous owner. Would you be able to provide some more details such as the scale of the model or, alternatively, some dimensions? And a pic or two of them would be interesting. In the absence of any better advice, I would stick them up on eBay with the right description and a reasonable starting price. This may not be the best time of the year with many people preoccupied with the season's festivities and their funds directed the same way, but you certainly reach a wide market with eBay and I think it usually ends up reflecting a realistic and fair value. Hopefully somebody else will add something more meaningful to my reply. Good luck Dave |

Thank you for the kind words Dave. I will post pictures in near days. Right now I am running to catch a real MD80 leaving DFW for a biz trip. Best
